Refunds

Fourteen days. No questions.

The cancellation and refund policy for VoiceStudio Pro and Lifetime: who to write to, what you get, and how long the money takes to arrive.

Last updated 30 September 2026

The short version

Pro and Lifetime both carry a full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. After that, you can cancel a Pro renewal at any time, and Lifetime has no recurring charge to cancel. Refunds go back to the payment method you used.

When you can get a refund

You can ask for a full refund of either plan within 7 days of the purchase date, for any reason. Refunding a purchase ends the Commercial License it issued, and the seats it covered stop being covered.

The free, open-source desktop app under GNU AGPL-3.0 is unaffected by a refund. It keeps working, because it never depended on a purchase.

Cancelling Pro

Pro is billed per seat, once a year. You can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal charge. Your seats stay active until the end of the year you have paid for. Time already used in a paid year is not refunded after the 7-day window.

Lifetime is a one-time purchase. There is no renewal to cancel, and after 7 days it is not refundable.

How to ask

  1. Write to pro@voicestudio.sh from the email address used at checkout.
  2. Give the order reference from your receipt, or the plan and the date. Say whether you want a refund or only to cancel a renewal.
  3. We confirm by email. A request inside the 7-day window is approved without further questions.

The timing of a request is decided by when you sent it, not by when we reply.

Refund method and timing

Refunds are sent to the original payment method through the same payment provider that took the payment: Razorpay in India, Zoho Payments elsewhere, or PayU where it is offered. We do not refund to a different card, account or wallet, and we do not issue store credit.

We start an approved refund within a few business days. After that the time to appear depends on your bank and the provider. As a guide, Razorpay and Zoho Payments refunds usually reach the customer's bank in 5 to 10 business days, and PayU refunds can take between 5 and 21 days, longer for some net-banking banks. If it has not arrived after that, write to us with the order reference and we will chase it with the provider.

Refunds are made in the currency you paid in. The amount that appears on your statement can differ slightly when your bank converts currencies, and we do not control that rate.

Failed or duplicate payments

If money left your account but no order or licence was created, the payment provider reverses it automatically after it confirms the transaction failed. That normally takes up to 7 to 10 business days. If you were charged twice for the same order, write to us and we refund the duplicate in full.

When a refund is not given

  • The request arrives after the 7-day window, other than a Pro renewal that was charged after you had cancelled it, or a duplicate charge.
  • The Commercial License was revoked for breaking the acceptable use policy, for example cloning a voice without its owner's consent.
  • The purchase was made fraudulently, or with a payment method the buyer did not have the right to use. We refund the genuine account holder through the provider instead.

If you think a charge is wrong, write to us before you raise a dispute with your bank. It is usually faster, and a card dispute freezes the order while it is open.
