Terms

Know what is live—and what isn't.

These terms map each current surface to its governing agreement and keep previews, enquiries, payments, and legal rights separate.

Last updated 30 September 2026

Current release surfaces

These terms cover the public website, its prerecorded and Text-to-speech previews, the Cloud early-access form, the Enterprise enquiry form, and the Pro and Lifetime purchase links. The local desktop software is available under GNU AGPL-3.0; the binding `LICENSE` file, not this page, governs the software. See the licence guide.

Pro and Lifetime seats can be bought from the Pro page, which hands off to the VoiceStudio checkout that takes the order and issues the Commercial License. Cloud, the account dashboard, and public API-key use are not available in the current public release. Preview documentation and disconnected UI do not make those capabilities a service or an offer.

Commercial enquiries

The Enterprise enquiry form on the Pro page is enquiry only. Sending that form or receiving a reply to it is not a purchase, quote, order acceptance, Commercial License, License Seat, support commitment, or right to keep modifications closed. Do not send payment in response to an enquiry reply.

Pro and Lifetime are real purchases, made only through the checkout the Pro page links to. The agreement version you accept there identifies the product covered, seat meaning, term, price, renewal, updates, support, transfer, refunds, termination, and revocation. That accepted agreement and the authoritative Commercial License record—not a browser return URL or payment-provider message—govern those rights. Neither plan by itself grants closed-source or private-hosting terms; those remain an Enterprise enquiry.

Refunds and cancellation

Full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked, for either the Pro or Lifetime plan. After 7 days, Pro (the annual plan) can still be cancelled to stop the next year's renewal charge, with no partial refund for time already used. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge to cancel.

The full steps, refund method and timing are in the cancellation and refund policy.

Cloud and dashboard previews

Joining early access is not a purchase, reservation, entitlement, or promise of a launch date or price. The hosted service may launch differently or not launch. The form asks only for one launch notice; its data handling is described in Privacy.

Cloud API examples use an unreleased placeholder origin. Dashboard previews provide no account, API credential, Credit, job-processing, support, uptime, storage, or recovery commitment. Separate hosted service terms and a current privacy notice must be accepted before a live hosted surface processes customer work.

What you make is yours

We claim no rights over audio you generate, voice data you create, or a separate program you build against the local API. Local workflows remain on storage you control.

A public Text-to-speech preview can transiently process the text you deliberately submit, as described in Privacy. That preview does not grant a hosted-service account or change the ownership of your text or output.

Website and preview use

Use it normally. Don't attempt to break it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, or submit addresses to the forms that aren't yours to submit, or put secrets, unlawful content, or another person's personal data into a public preview.

Pages may change or disappear. Download links point at GitHub releases, which are subject to GitHub's own terms.

Your responsibilities and account security

Give accurate details at checkout, and use only a payment method you are entitled to use. Keep your Commercial License and the email address it was issued to secure; you are responsible for activity under your seats, and should tell us at pro@voicestudio.sh if you think access has been shared or stolen.

What you may and may not do, including voice-owner consent and banned uses, is set out in the acceptable use policy, which is part of these terms. We may suspend or revoke a Commercial License for a breach.

Payments are taken by Razorpay, Zoho Payments or PayU under their own terms. We do not hold card or bank details, and a provider's message is not a record of your license. Delivery is digital; see delivery. Prices are shown on the Pro page and confirmed at checkout.

No warranty

The software is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, as set out in sections 15 and 16 of the GNU AGPL-3.0. It is a tool for making synthetic speech; it will sometimes get things wrong, and the output is your responsibility to check before you publish it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the software or this site, or for indirect or consequential loss. For a paid Commercial License, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for that license in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury, or any right you have as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction to be published before payments go live, and its courts have jurisdiction over disputes, without affecting any mandatory consumer right you have where you live. The business operating VoiceStudio is identified on the contact page.

Changes, review, and contact

The VoiceStudio repository maintainers own these website terms. A material capability or data-flow change must update the agreement map, privacy notice, effective date, and release checks together. Qualified counsel must review the intended jurisdictions before hosted customer-content processing or payment is enabled.

We may update these terms. A material change takes effect when the new version is published with its date, and purchases made before that date keep the agreement accepted at checkout. Support for a purchase is at pro@voicestudio.sh.

Questions about these terms go to privacy@voicestudio.sh. A surface whose terms or controls are incomplete remains disabled or is rolled back without affecting the local AGPL desktop app.
